Frequently Asked Questions

ATAAC 2026 introduces, for the first time, two parallel components within one event:

  • ATAAC Professional Conference – the established Professional Conference offered since 2016.
  • ATAAC Scientific Conference – a new scientific component with peer-reviewed papers, oral and poster presentations and open access proceedings.

The Professional Conference brings together special educators, SLTs, OTs, teachers, parents, engineers, innovators and those who use AT and AAC in everyday life and practice. The program is designed to deliver direct, practical knowledge, current approaches and examples that can be immediately applied in practice.

Participants can expect lectures by leading international experts, hands-on workshops, technology demonstrations, real-world examples from education, therapy and rehabilitation, and clear professional guidelines for everyday work.

The ATAAC Playground is an interactive environment where participants can try out assistive technology through play, activities and simulated scenarios. It provides insight into the real-world applicability of AT/AAC solutions and how they can be adapted for different users.

The exhibition area brings together various manufacturers and distributors of AT solutions, enabling participants to try devices, compare products and talk directly with the innovators behind them. This gives attendees an immediate overview of the latest technologies and trends in AT and AAC.

The ATAAC Professional Conference biennially gathers over 1,000 participants from more than 50 countries, creating a rich international environment for experience exchange, professional networking and insight into global practices.
