Ivana Vinceković is an educational rehabilitator at the Mali dom Community Services Centre. Her work focuses on the application of assistive technology with children with complex communication needs, including assessment, implementation, and use of AT tools. She is the editor of a university textbook on education of students with disabilities through assistive technology, and a member of the AT Working Group at the Croatian Chamber of Educational Rehabilitators and ISAAC.

Assistive Technology in Education – Can We Learn from Handbook?
This presentation introduces the key concepts and practical implications of the textbook "Education of Students with Disabilities: Using Assistive Technology for Equal Opportunities", created within the ATTEND project. The focus is on understanding assistive technology as a means of enabling student participation in educational activities and removing functional barriers to learning.
Through selected practical examples, the presentation discusses ways of identifying student needs, selecting appropriate technological solutions and integrating them into everyday work.
