Lisa Donaldson is an optometrist, Honorary Lecturer at City, University of London and Head of Eye Care and Vision and SeeAbility. Her team’s award winning research evidenced huge unmet eye care need in England’s special school population- with over half of pupils having a significant visual problem, 40% needing glasses but 43% having never accessed eye care. This work led to a Governmental commitment to a national eye care service for all 160000 children who attend special school in England.
